Todd to Become a Dad

November 19, 2009

Innovative’s Todd Mueller will become a dad for the first time later this morning. There is no truth to the rumor that the baby will be named “SYSPRO”. Congratulations to Todd and Jennifer. It’s your big day.

Legendary Customer Service vs. Bad Customer Service: Fight of the Decade.

July 17, 2009

This one falls right in there with El Pollo Loco and Lonnie the Scottsman or even the fictional May Day Meeting as one of the more ridiculous yet entertaining morning hoopla meeting at Innovative Automation.

Each employee leads the morning meeting once a month, and we discuss — sometimes in absurd methods — how we can better treat customers with LEGENDARY customer service. Today was Mike Davila’s day.

In a blatant attempt to win “Best Host of the Month” and thus earn a day off, Davila showed up dressed in the traditional costume depicting the well-known character of “Legendary Customer Service” (looking like a cross between Hulk Hogan and Dog the Bounty Hunter). In this riveting photo, you can see Kara L’Huillier and Todd Mueller trying to make sense of it all.rassle1

Naturally, “Legendary Customer Service” was later attacked and mugged by “Bad Customer Service” who, of course, was dressed in black and played by Chris Coler. And naturally, “Legendary Customer Service” prevailed. Wow.

Vlad the Impaler Meets Innovative Automation

April 28, 2009

vladtepesKen, Gene and I just ended our day with a light-hearted, lively discussion about Vlad the Impaler and how in the 1400s he repelled the invading Turks with a display of impaled bodies. This, from the Vlad entry in Wikipedia:

It was reported that an invading Ottoman army turned back in fright when it encountered thousands of rotting corpses impaled on the banks of the Danube.[2]

Somehow, we got here by way of a conversation about selling Yaskawa MotionWAGO and the fact that Innovative’s Todd Mueller celebrating his 9-year anniversary at tomorrow. Happy anniversary, Todd! — pepper

Putting the Faces to the Voices

February 27, 2009

mavsgameChances are, if you call us at Innovative at 877.906.2100, you’ll talk to either Jesse Simental or Todd Mueller in our customer service department, deemed LEGENDARY by both friend and foe alike.

From time to time, they are allowed out of the office. Fulfillment pro Saul Saucado (left) along with Jesse and Todd took a field trip to watch the Mavs scorch the Bucs Wednesday night at AA Center, 116-96. Klent Prewitt, he of legendary sales prowess, took the photo.

Looks like decent seats. Was it Hat Night and if so, did Todd miss the freebie line?

I Want This, I Need This . . .

September 24, 2008

Todd Mueller, IA veteran, still has not had his name engraved on our Legendary Customer Service cup. The trophy is awarded each month to the employee team that earns the most customer service points for the month.

Not that Todd hasn’t pulled off some Legendary acts of his own — hey, he’s the manager of our Customer Service Department. He spends all day atop Mount Legendary.

He’s just been on teams that haven’t quite broken through to win since the Cup was incepted in April 2008. Like Ernie Banks, Mueller’s a Hall of Fame player with no titles to his credit. September, however, could be the breakthrough month. He’s on my team; how can I help him get there?

Oh, did I mention that the Cup winners get half a day off from work as an additional reward? — ph
