History Lesson in American Factory Automation and Controls

October 2, 2012

You may think of Parker Hannifin as gantry systems, extruded aluminum, hydraulics, etc. That’s all true, and more. This Cleveland-based multinational behemoth is one of Innovative-IDM’s blue chip channel partners — as big and talented as they come.

But in 1918, Aurthur Parker was just tagging along as a profiteering pilot fish to Henry Ford’s automobile industry and the burgeoning aviation sector, designing and providing control systems for both further transportation must-haves. Not to mention the retooling of its factories for the monumental World War II effort.

Check out this informative video, which is as much about the history of industrial automation as it is about Parker Hannifin
