Omron CS1D The Dual-Redundant PLC System

Omron CS1D Dual-Redundant PLC System

CS1D adds a number of dual-redundancy options to the well-proven CS1 architecture to ensure around-the-clock operation without minimal downtime. Duplex CPUs, with or without loop control functions, are continuously cross-checked for errors, without the need for special programs to be written by the user. An even simpler way to increase system availability is to use dual power supply units. Hot swapping of CPUs, power supplies and I/O units allow system maintenance with little or no process interruption.

You Could Benefit from PLC Training

August 15, 2013

Yesterday at our DFW training room, we completed yet another two-day OMRON PLC training class for customers looking to increase their working knowledge. (The HOUSTON class is next week. Sorry, sold out.) We had enough PLC brain power in the room to teach an engineering class.

Besides our usual pro Jay Anthony heading things up from the front of the class, we also had field application engineer Matt Meeker assisting in the bac

k of the room. And to top gun it off, we had OMRON’s Ed Allen giving a cursory view of the Omron NJ controller hooked up to a whackosick demo that is in for all purposes a mini-factory production line. Really a cool two days for the people who attended. Plus, everyone got to take home their PLC and power supply — came with the cost of the class.

Upcoming classes in Tulsa and Memphis. Check our training website for all of our training dates.

Pancho and Jesus, Omron’s wacky thrill-seekers, try to short-circuit an Omron industrial power supply among other shennanigans in this three-minute vid.

Both were at IA HQ recently for an Omron PLC training class. This is the alternate version of Cool Gadgets: Omron S8VS Industrial Power Supply. If you would like to put on a starched shirt and necktie, check out the “official version”.
