Soap and Bubbles…Whaaaat?

September 25, 2014

Step right up with your best bubble blower and earn your team 50 points! That’s what Anna did with her award winning BOB (big ol’ bubble). The competition was tight, but no one was able to beat her one, single, giant, bubble.

There are many ways we have fun at work, but today we did it with bubbles. Congratulations team Bezibees, you guys are 50 points closer to possibly winning a half day off! – Britt W.

Team Blues Clues Loses Our Marbles!!

September 10, 2014

A crazy circus with nerf gun targets, the Wizard of Oz characters, a neon maze full of games, a dunk tank for managers, …..DODGE BALL??

Who does all this at work? Only a LEGENDARY company like Innovative IDM!  As a newbie I sure didn’t expect any of this at our new employee event.  But, this is what we did!

Just goes to show what an awesome, unique, “out of the box”,  truly legendary place Innovative IDM is.  I am so excited and happy to be on this team with this company.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here!

President’s Club 2014 Alumni Dinner

January 28, 2014

I really enjoyed the PC Alumni dinner this year. We have a great time catching up, having cocktails and watching a photo slide show with highlights from all past President’s Club trips. The first trip was in early 2007 for the 2006 winners, Adam Ring, Tim Mueller and Tammy Gray. It was a 3 day trip to Las Vegas that year. Man had the trip gotten a bit more Legendary since then. This year’s winners, Andrew L., Britt W., Carrie C., Dale F., Donnie C., Jeff R., Jon D., Matt M., Tammy G., set sail on April 5th on Celebrity – Reflection departing from Miami, Florida then hitting ports in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Philipsburg, St. Maarten before returning to Miami, Florida on April 12th. It’s a well deserved trip for some Legendary Innovative-IDM talent.

The Power of Google and Legendary Customer Service

January 22, 2014

Last month I get a call from a potential customer at 7 pm on a Sunday night asking if we did Field Service repairs.

As I talked with the potential customer I could tell that they were really in a bind over a piece of equipment being down. I told him that we did and asked about their situation and was told that this piece of equipment is the only one in North America capable of producing this certain part for a particular automobile and that it was an injection molding machine.

As we talked, I was told the plant was located in Dayton, Tenn., which is outside of our service area. The potential customer said he had tried everyone he knew and no one was available so he searched online for “Field Service” and we showed up.  I told him we would get back with him shortly.  And I made a few calls and our account rep, Memphis Mike Moore, said that he would talk to them.

I started gathering my tools and laptop when Mike called and said the customer wanted me there ASAP.  After an 8-hour drive I showed up at 3:30 am and we started looking at the machine and by 5 am had determined that it was not electrical and was asked if I could help troubleshoot the hydraulic system.  So 9 days and 156 hours later the machine was running and the customer was extremely happy.

Building a Warehouse

January 21, 2014

Our Oklahoma customers have been very excited about our new warehouse location opening up in Tulsa, but building our warehouse from scratch was no easy task. We started with little more than a few thousand square feet of empty space (that is a lot of floor to mop) when I arrived in October, and it was pretty dirty. I had my work cut out for me.

The first step was to clean up the mess the contractors made; but after about a week of late nights cleaning up and mopping the warehouse space, we were ready to get some shelves.

Some assembly required, of course.

It was dangerous work, too. I’m talking crab fishing in the Arctic circle dangerous.

But after some long hours, a little pain, and a dash of sweat, it all came together and now we have a LEGENDARY new stocking location for our Oklahoma customers. JP, Matt, Trevor, Vitalii, and I couldn’t be more excited.
