Soap and Bubbles…Whaaaat?

September 25, 2014

Step right up with your best bubble blower and earn your team 50 points! That’s what Anna did with her award winning BOB (big ol’ bubble). The competition was tight, but no one was able to beat her one, single, giant, bubble.

There are many ways we have fun at work, but today we did it with bubbles. Congratulations team Bezibees, you guys are 50 points closer to possibly winning a half day off! – Britt W.

Team Blues Clues Loses Our Marbles!!

September 10, 2014

A crazy circus with nerf gun targets, the Wizard of Oz characters, a neon maze full of games, a dunk tank for managers, …..DODGE BALL??

Who does all this at work? Only a LEGENDARY company like Innovative IDM!  As a newbie I sure didn’t expect any of this at our new employee event.  But, this is what we did!

Just goes to show what an awesome, unique, “out of the box”,  truly legendary place Innovative IDM is.  I am so excited and happy to be on this team with this company.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here!

Thank you for your patience

January 20, 2014

I am new  to the company and I would like to thank everyone for being supportive. I know that I have a lot to learn but I also have a lot to offer for this company to help the expansion of our business. I would like to travel at some point (Austin? eh? eh?) and expand our company eventually. I would like to thank all of the people who have been very helpful and patient with me for the past month.  I know that this job can be hectic at times and very stressful so I will have to become the master of multitasking, but I believe that one day I will be proficient at what I do.

I’m really excited do the first firewalk. I’ve never done anything like that before but I’m pretty good at meditating. I don’t think it will be a problem since I’m a Tibetan Buddhist monk and all. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

PS: Please ignore my use or lack of use of “articles”. I’m from Russia (who needs articles?)  and even though I’ve been here for 14 years I still have trouble with that. So if my blog seems silly please feel free to laugh and make fun of my poor grammar.

Hans & Franz put me in Trance

January 15, 2014

While training in Dallas, I experienced the most professional Hoopla “Saturday Night Life Style” performance ever. Richard Wines and Stefan Peterson did an amazing job impersonating Hans & Franz characters from SNL show. They prepared very well, were full of energy and enthusiasm and definitely set the stage on fire. I never started my day with so much laughter before, it was a nice work out session for my abs, as they were extremely hilarious and won the hearts of all present IIDM folks. Dangerous situation as they might get recruited by Hollywood soon and we are at risk of loosing 2 great employees. On another note, I hope to see more of their super star shows “shenanigans style”. They set the bar really high and it will be really hard to beat them,  but hey I am sure they will accept your challenge. Game is on…

Suit up because Kickoff will be Legendary.

January 9, 2014

Kickoff is the time of year when our company gets together and challenges each other to healthy competition.  We spend time talking about the past year’s accomplishments and the coming year’s goals.  It’s a chance to truly better ourselves and, by doing so, we make our company better.  In the past, we have walked on fire, broken blocks with our bare fists, and proven that our only obstacles are in our own mind.  To whatever test comes our way this year, we say CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Illegal Tender – The inspiration for many iconic figures

Illegal Tender - The inspiration for many iconic figures

Illegal tender has been the driving force behind many of our most history making, record breaking, earth shaking mind bending and earth ending events!
For instance, did you know that Illegal tender was the inspiration for Elvis Presley’s “love me tender?” In fact Illegal Tender was how Gibson bought his fist guitar which led to the ear melting solos of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I’ll bet you didn’t know that making a coin disappear was Houdini’s first magic trick. Illegal Tender taught Cassius Clay to “sting like a bee.” Inspired Bill Gates first line of code and was the key to Ben Franklins famous Kite Flight. It has been well documented that Illegal Tender imbued the etiquette of Lady Di, the strategery of George Patton, the wit of Mark twain and the training Regimen of AHNOLD SCHVAHTZNEGAHH….
Illegal Tender kindled the notorious battles between Tesla and Jefferson, Troy and Greece, Richard the Lionhearted and Phillip, Great Britain and the founding fathers, the allies and axis!!
Illegal Tender inspired the works of such greats as Rembrandt, Picasso, Michelangelo, and da Vinci…
Not the Beauty of Monroe the suave of Gable nor the wisdom of the Dalai Lama could eclipse the influence of Illegal tender. It was told that the super bowl asked Illegal Tender if it could advertise on the Blog (to no avail). Neil Peart plays Illegal Tender signature series Cymbals, and to top it off, Chuck Norris wears Illegal Tender footie PJ’s to bed!!
So get Ready for the most notorious Kick off event n IIDM history…the real winner?

Kickoff at Innovative-IDM is the Super Bowl, the World Series and any other championship you can think of all rolled into one. We divide into teams which are made up of individuals from other groups, roles and locations. Kickoff allows us to get to know each other, to get out of our comfort zones, to learn and grow and to compete. It’s a time to enjoy accomplishments from the previous year and focus on our goals for the upcoming year. We certainly knock down Company Goal #4 – HAVE FUN! The winning team is remembered forever along the walls of the office (well, along with every other team). You also get a blue ribbon, a plaque and bragging rights! Each year gets more and more fun! I know our team is FULLY LOADED AMPED UP!!!
