My 1st Hoopla

Image

What does this picture of Chicago have to do with Hoopla? Well, honestly, actually nothing, but what’s a good blog post without a cool picture!

Since I have only been with Innovative for the last 2 months, the culture is completely new to me. I can’t remember who led my 1st Hoopla, but I can remember the details of what my first impressions were.

Things I was expecting: loud music, lots of clapping and recognizing your coworkers.

Things I was not expecting: Chanting daily affirmations, games or running a circle of high fives.

I learned really quick that the sooner I memorized the chants, the better off I would be. I also learned quickly to pay attention to the awesome acts that happen around me throughout the day, so that I could recognize someone else in Hoopla. And finally, I realized that, on most days, if you are asking about who has Thank You cards, everyone looks to Gina. Just imagine if one day, we all had at least one!
