You Won’t Be Wet, You’ll Be Dead

Here’s a wise and clever email sent from veteran IIDM field service technician Dale Frisk to all of Innovative-IDM‘s employees. And don’t EVER forget it.

Subject: Lockout

I asked my wife Carol to shut off the main water valve on her way out of the house this after noon. I wanted to replace the o-rings in the kitchen sink faucet while she was gone. She forgot so I shut it off and started replacing the o-rings…she came home and realizing she had forgotten … turned the water on instead of off.

The lesson….don’t forget to lock out the power… if it had been electricity instead of water I’d be dead instead of wet…
